One of these is Tales of the Jedi, an animated show by Dave Filoni that tells short stories about some of the best Star Wars figures from the time of the Prequel Trilogy.

Tales of the Jedi Season 2 Release Date

As of April 2023, there is no official date for the release of Tales of the Jedi season 2. We do, however, know for sure that the cartoon series will be back on TV. At Star Wars Celebration 2023, Dave Filoni said that season 2 of “Tales of the Jedi” is coming soon.

Tales of the Jedi Season 2 Release Date

The first season of Tales of the Jedi came out on Disney Plus in October 2022. A year seems like a good amount of time to wait, and season 2 could come as early as October 2023. Everyone interested in future Star Wars projects has a lot to do, so it’s possible that we won’t see season 2 of Tales of the Jedi until 2024.

Tales of the Jedi Season 2 Cast

As of April 2023, there are no announced cast members for season 2 of Tales of the Jedi. Ahsoka is likely to have some kind of part in Tales of the Jedi season 2, so her voice actress, Ashley Eckstein, will almost certainly be back. James Arnold Taylor and Matt Lanter could be back as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and Dee Bradley Baker could be back as Captain Rex of the clone troopers.

Fans will also hope that Qui-Gon Jinn will get more attention in the new show. Liam Neeson voiced the character in the first season of Tales of the Jedi.

Ashley Eckstein Ahsoka Tano

James Arnold Taylor Obi-Wan Kenobi

Dee Bradley Baker Captain Rex

Tales of the Jedi Season 2 Plot

As of April 2023, we don’t know anything for sure about the story of Tales of the Jedi’s second season. But based on Filoni’s other shows, The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, we can guess that Tales of the Jedi season 2 will continue to focus on the characters from the Prequel Trilogy.

In six episodes, the first season of Tales of the Jedi told short stories about different times in the lives of Count Dooku and Ahsoka Tano.

Tales of the Jedi Season 2 Release Date

Dooku’s arc went from him being a member of the Jedi order to Emperor Palpatine turning him to the Dark Side. The Ahsoka stories, on the other hand, picked up at different points in her life, like when she was a baby or when she decided to join the Rebellion.

It’s not clear if Ahsoka will be back in Tales of the Jedi season 2, but Dooku’s story seemed to be over. In that case, Filoni is likely to choose new characters from anywhere in the Star Wars timeline to be the subject of season 2.

While waiting for the premiere of Tales of the Jedi season 2, you can watch more shows in the same genre. Some examples of such shows are A Time Called You Season 1 and Careme Season 1.

More Stories About Tales of the Jedi

Tales of the Jedi In Season 1, there were two “paths”: one focused on Ahsoka Tano and the other on Count Dooku. The episodes about Ahsoka were set at different times in her life, while the ones about Count Dooku were set before he turned to the dark side of the Force.

Ashley Eckstein and Corey Burton used their voices from Star Wars: The Clone Wars to play Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku in Tales of the Jedi. The Star Wars prequel trilogy’s Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson), Mace Windu (TC Carson), Anakin Skywalker (Matt Lanter), Obi-Wan Kenobi (James Arnold Taylor), and Yaddle (Bryce Dallas Howard) were also in the cartoon series.

As of the first release, Lucasfilm and Filoni had not said if Season 2 of Tales of the Jedi will continue to follow Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku or if the new episodes will focus on different Jedi from different times in Star Wars.
