Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been disbarred from practicing law after the city said he made false statements about Donald Trump’s 2020 election loss.

Giuliani, who already had his city law license suspended in 2021, is now disbarred completely meaning he is no longer allowed to be involved in legal proceedings in New York.

The court said the 80-year-old had ‘baselessly attacked and undermined the integrity of this country’s electoral process.’

However, Giuliani viciously fought back today labelling the decision ‘politically motivated’ in a statement posted to X.

The decision was handed down by The Appellate Division Courthouse of New York State located in Manhattan today and is effective immediately.

After Trump suffered a devastating loss in the last national election, Giuliani became the primary mouthpiece for the former President’s claims of voter fraud after the results were declared.

The ex-mayor took center stage and held a press conference in front of Four Seasons Total Landscaping outside Philadelphia on the day the race was called and said that the GOP they would challenge what he claimed was a vast conspiracy by Democrats.

It is widely believed that lies around the election results acted as a catalyst for pro-Trump rioters to storm the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, in an effort to stop the certification of Biden’s victory.

In May, Giuliani’s conservative radio talk show was cancelled after he repeatedly questioning the results of the 2020 election.

The station’s billionaire owner, John Catsimatidis, abruptly ended the run over Giuliani’s election claims.

‘John had warned him a few times about doing that and finally he just kind of crossed the line,’ Catsimatidis producer Matt Wanning told DailyMail.com.

Asked about potential legal exposure from Giuliani’s claims, in particular Dominion Voting Systems, he responded: ‘Oh yeah. It’s been floating around for a while.’

He wasn’t aware if the station had specifically received a warning letter from the voting machine company, which reached a $787 million settlement with Fox News in 2023.

Giuliani blasted the move in a statement to DailyMail.com, indicating that he did not learn of his suspension directly.

‘I’m learning from a leak to the New York Times that I’m being fired by John Catsimatidis and WABC because I refused to comply with their overly broad directive stating, word-for-word, that I’m, “prohibited from engaging in conversations relating to the 2020 Presidential Election,’ he humed.

‘This directive is a clear violation of free speech and I’ll have much more to say about this on my 8:00 pm ET livestream which you can watch on any of my social media platforms, including on X, Facebook or YouTube,’ he said, plugging his own digital program.

A May 9 letter from Red Apple Media signed by Catsimatidis begins, in bold type, ‘This letter serves to remind you that you are prohibited from engaging in conversations relating to the 2020 Presidential Election on your programs broadcast on WABC Radio.’

It then states that, ‘It has come to our attention that you continue to publish allegations of this nature on social media, and are now subject to additional court filings accusing you of this conduct, as reported by Bloomberg Law this week.

That was a reference to a new legal claim by Ruby Freeman and her daughter Wandrea’ Arshaye “Shaye” Moss, who won a $148 million court legal judgment against Giuliani.

The WABC show provides a financial lifetime for Giuliani, who that judgement after a jury found he defamed two Georgia election workers. Giuliani is appealing.

Giuliani was indicted along with Trump and other alleged co-conspirators in Georgia.

On his last radio show, he predicted the classified documents case against Trump would be dismissed, and called for getting special counsel Jack Smith on trial. ‘I’m looking forward to that should Trump win that there’ll be an investigation of him,’ he said.

After the firing, Giuliani went on a X formerly Twitter storm railing about the move.

‘John Catsimatidis and @77ABCradio fired me for refusing to comply with their overly broad directive stating I’m, ‘prohibited from engaging in conversations relating to the 2020 Presidential Election.’

‘John says I was informed ahead of time of these restrictions, which is demonstrably untrue. I’ve been regularly commenting on the 2020 election for 3.5 years, and I’ve talked about the Georgia case incessantly ever since the verdict. WABC hosts questioned me on these topics.

‘Obviously I was never informed on such a policy, and even if there was one, it was violated so often that it couldn’t be taken seriously.’
