Samantha played the role of Heather, a high school girl, in the 2013 adaptation of “Carrie,” alongside Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore. She also portrayed Audrey in the 2011 comedy “Jesus Henry Christ,” alongside Toni Collette.

One of Samantha’s notable early roles was in the acclaimed film “Big Girl,” which won Best Canadian Short Film at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival.

She died in January of this year. Samantha Weinstein, 28, died on May 14 at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto after being diagnosed with ovarian Cancer two and a half years earlier.

Weinstein began performing on stage at six and has a broad list of acting credits, including work as a voice Actor for a range of animated characters in television series.

Her family stated she is going on her next journey after two and a half years of Cancer treatment and a lifetime of jet-setting worldwide, voicing many cartoon animals, composing music, and understanding more about life than most people will ever know.
