She will need specialist care for the rest of her life, and will likely never walk again, police say.

Bullets hit her spinal cord with her spleen and liver severed in the shooting, according to a police fact sheet.

Police will allege she was sleeping at her Bankstown home on January 12 when her boyfriend shot multiple rounds through the ceiling of the double garage, with bullets penetrating the floor and mattress before hitting her.

Eljamal then bundled her into a car and dropped her outside an ambulance bay at Bankstown Hospital before yelling at paramedics and fleeing the scene, police will further allege.
