A man discovered with fatal stab wounds inside a Manhattan subway car had previously been the victim of a hate crime having been attacked while traveling in the Bronx last year.

Tavon Silver, 32, was found unconscious on a southbound 4-train at the 14th Street Union Square station early Saturday morning and later pronounced dead by police.

It has since emerged that Silver was stabbed in the arm last June during a homophobic attack – that time on a northbound 2-train near the 3rd Avenue-149th Street station in Melrose in the Bronx.

Silver and his fiancé had been on the train playing loud music when another man, identified as Runadieo Jordan, 52, yelled a homophobic slur at the pair.

After continuing with the insults, Jordan stabbed Silver, leaving him with a severe arm injury.

Silver spoke to Fox 5 shortly after the attack where he explained what happened during the incident.

‘Next thing I know, like, I had a hole in my arm. Like blood was gushing everywhere,’ Silver said. ‘It was one straight cut, and he took a giant chunk of my wrist. He literally cut my wrist off. So, like, if you look straight through, you can see my bone.’

He described how Jordan stabbed him, causing significant bleeding, injuring his wrist.

Jordan remained undeterred and walked by the pair continuing to use derogatory slurs as Silver lay on the floor unconscious.

‘He came walking by us as I was losing consciousness on the floor, bleeding out. And he just walked right by us, and he was like, “Here you go, you stupid f*****,”‘ Silver recounted.

During Saturday's stabbing, Silver managed to call out to a conductor for help before he lost consciousness. Police are pictured on the platform at Union Square station shortly afterwards
