Dramatic moment bloke in an FBI T-shirt is handcuffed after ‘crashing into a pole following an alleged crime spree’

Three males – one of whom was wearing an FBI T-shirt – have been arrested following an alleged armed crime spree in Melbourne‘s western suburbs on Tuesday morning.

Two of them were allegedly armed with a machete when they allegedly robbed two businesses in Werribee, 32km south-west of Melbourne CBD, the police said. 

They entered a business on Watton Street, Werribee just after 9am and allegedly demanded cash, which was handed over.

A short time later the same offenders attended a business on Cottrell Street and one male allegedly entered the store armed with the machete.

Cash and alcohol were allegedly stolen.

They then fled the area in an allegedly stolen grey Hyundai hatchback, leading to a police pursuit. 

The car was chased through Werribee and stopped on the Princes Freeway near Duncans Road.

The alleged offenders then lost control of the car and crashed into a pole on Ascot Vale Road in Moonee Ponds just before 10.30am.

Two teenage boys and a 20-year-old man were arrested.

One of the alleged offenders was taken to hospital and the other two have been taken into custody.
