Video shows jaw-dropping moment alleged carjacker jumps off FDR Drive, landing next to unsuspecting women-true New Yorkers who promptly turn and walk away from crippled suspect

An alleged carjacker fell off the FDR Drive as he tried to escape landing in a crumpling heap on the ground – before three women did the most New Yorker thing possible and just walked away from the stunning scene.
New video was posted to social media this week showed the bizarre July 11 carjacking spree when the suspect, identified as Ismael English, 20, was seen fleeing the scene after he allegedly stabbed Lyft driver Yadav Kumar Dhungel, 36, who was driving the Tesla in the unprovoked attack.
Surveillance footage showed English running across FDR Drive attempting to carjack two other vehicles and diving headfirst through a rear window in one of the vehicles.
Seconds later, the thug was seen sitting on the ledge of the concrete barrier near the overpass of the Manhattan Bridge. English dangled off the ledge with only one hand holding onto the concrete barrier, before he dropped 30 feet onto the concrete pavement and landed near three unidentified women.
As English was in pain, the ice-cream-eating trio was unfazed by the drama. They momentarily stopped, stared at the injured man and then walked away and continued their day.

English had been the passenger in the Tesla just until 2:30pm when he reportedly stabbed the Lyft driver, officials said.
The Lyft driver victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he underwent surgery.
English, was arrested and treated for his injuries at Bellevue hospital. He was later charged with attempted murder, officials said.
Dhungel’s friends were stunned by the afternoon carjacking attempt and described him as ‘hardworking… a gentleman…and a family man.’
He was later listed in stable condition while he remained in the hospital.
