A man has been charged with torturing a five-year-old boy with another two children found injured in his garage.

The 29-year-old man was arrested by police after searching a property at Wishart, in Brisbane, on Saturday.

A five-year-old boy was found with critical injuries before he was transported to Queensland Children’s Hospital.

A six-year-old girl and eight-year-old boy were found in the garage with extensive non-life threatening injuries and taken to the same hospital.

Police declared the property a crime scene before taking the man into custody. 

He was charged with 14 offences that included domestic violence offences such as seven counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.

Three counts each of torture and assault occasioning bodily harm while armed and one count of grievous bodily harm were among the other offences.

His bail was refused and he was scheduled to front Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
