California Father Ryan Rovito Arrested and Charged with Child Sex Abuse Possession – Latest Development in Case: On Thursday the police arrested Ryan Rovito because they thought he did something wrong that he was told not to do. They found pictures and videos on his camera that showed children being hurt which is very bad.
Last week a man from California was arrested for having very bad pictures and videos of children on his computer. His wife found a hidden camera in the bathroom that showed over 900 pictures of children being hurt. The police found out and arrested him.
The police think he did two bad things so they put him in jail at Shasta County Prison. They say he had pictures and videos of children being hurt and he secretly took a video of someone who was naked without their permission.

A little more than a week after his wife found a hidden camera and gave it to the police Ryan Rovito was arrested. He is 34 years old and lives in Redding which is about 160 miles north of Sacramento. The police think he did something he was told not to do so they arrested him.
The police looked at the camera and other devices and found pictures and videos of children being hurt. They did a special study called a forensic study to find this out.
The police watched the videos and saw both kids and grown-ups using the bathroom. It looked like they didn’t know someone was secretly filming them. After Rovito’s wife found the camera on March 8th the police say he told them he knew about the camera but he promised to get rid of it. Rovito’s wife was worried that he had secretly filmed their kids using the bathroom so she gave the electronic devices to the police.
The detectives looked at the camera and other things and found many pictures of children being hurt and many videos too. They got a paper called an arrest warrant which meant they could take Rovito to jail. They found him on Thursday while he was driving a car on Buenaventura Boulevard and Placer Street in Redding.
The police looked at the hard drive and found over 900 pictures of children being hurt and videos of kids and grown-ups using the bathroom.
Update on Ryan Rovito’s case: Where is he now?
On Sunday Rovito didn’t answer a text sent to his phone. We don’t know if he has a lawyer to help him. This morning Rovito was not on the jail’s online list of prisoners. We don’t know if he has a lawyer to help him and the Redding Police have not responded to BuzzFeed News’ request for comment.
The Police said that videos showed people both kids and grown-ups using the bathroom without knowing they were being recorded. After Rovito’s arrest, his wife asked for a temporary restraining order against him. The court granted her request. A new hearing is scheduled for April 7th and the case is about preventing domestic violence against their children.
On Sunday Rovito’s wife did not say anything when asked for a comment. Police arrested Rovito and put him in jail. They accused him of having pictures of children being hurt and secretly filming someone who wasn’t wearing clothes.
