The allegations against Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse are overwhelming. The actor is best known to fans of the classic “Dances With Wolves”. In the West, as a teenager, he played a member of the Sioux tribe alongside lead actor Kevin Costner (68). After that, he was involved in other projects such as Steven Spielberg’s (76) series “Into the West”. But now a shadow is hanging over his career: Nathan is suspected of child abuse.
The Associated Press was given access to the investigation file against Nathan, which details the current allegations. “Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse used spiritual traditions and his belief system as a tool to sexually abuse young girls on numerous occasions,” the filing states. Accordingly, he is said to have found a kind of sect called “The Circle”. Since the alleged victims are said to have been mainly minors, there are now allegations of child abuse and human trafficking. The 46-year-old is due to appear before a magistrate next Thursday.
What seems to make Nathan’s case all the more tragic is the fact that he’s recruited mostly Native Americans. He himself belongs to the Sioux tribe of the Lakota. In “Dances With Wolves” Nathan also played a Lakota boy who goes by the name “Smiles a lot”.
