He wasn’t breathing, so a sheriff’s deputy started CPR before an ambulance transported him to University Community Hospital.

According to Dick Bailey, office manager for the medical examiner, an autopsy wasn’t carried out right away because the Dungy family decided to donate James Dungy’s tissue and organs.

In 2002, Dungy became the Colts’ head coach. He worked as an assistant coach with the Minnesota Vikings from 1992 to 1995 before taking over as head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1996 to 2001.

Lauren and Dungy have strong religious beliefs and actively participate in the chapel and social activities.

Lauren graduated from the University of Duquesne with a certificate in elementary education. She has taught primary school in the past and teaches Sunday school.

Similarly, Lauren is the originator and leader of the Christian Sister’s Book Club.

She maintained volunteering for iMOM, a program run by mothers whose children are 3 to 21 years old, in her spare time.

The couple is blessed with ten children, three daughters, and seven sons. Tony and Lauren’s biological children are Eric, Tiara, and James; their adopted children are Jordan, Jade, Justin, Jason, Jalen, Jaden, and Jaela.

The couple always desired a large family; similarly, Tony and Lauren never granted privileges to just their biological children in public since they disliked dividing their adopted and biological children.

James Dungy, their oldest biological child, however, committed suicide in 2005 at the age of 18. The incident was characterized as a suicide, according to the authorities.
