Apparently, that didn’t go as planned! Harry Styles (29) gave a glittering live performance of his mega-hit “As It Was” at the 65th Grammy Awards a few days ago. The British pop star was even able to win the coveted Grammy in the category “Album of the Year” during the evening. While fans cheered the singer’s performance, others claimed his show was a bit sluggish. I guess there’s a reason for that: Harry’s performance had technical difficulties!
Backing dancer Dexter Da Rocha shared via TikTok that the turntable he, his colleagues and Harry had been dancing on turned the wrong way. “Twelve dancers stood on the turntable and we rehearsed the most beautiful formations for ten days. Harry fitted in so nicely,” said Dexter. When the problem then occurred during the Grammy performance, none of the stage technicians noticed anything about it. “Harry tried his best to mirror everything on the platform,” the dancer continued.
During the British pop star’s performance, not many were dancing in the Grammy audience, but one person was definitely: Harry’s ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift (33)! “She’s so supportive of him even though they broke up at the time,” one delighted fan wrote on social media in reference to the “Lavender Haze” hitmaker’s support.
