The Texas State representative, Nate Schatzline, notorious for banning drag shows in the state has been seen dressed in drag. His viral video in a drag dress has exposed his hypocrisy and the question, “Is Nate Schatzline Gay?” seems to be floating all over the internet.
Nate Schatzline is a conservative Texas State congressman and an anti-trafficking activist. He defeated Democrat KC Chowdhury in the 2022 Texas House of Representatives election.
Schatzline amended the Texas Business and Commerce Code in 2023 introducing anti-drag policies.
He has been criticized by the LGBTQ+ community for banning drag performances in Texas.
The bill classifies venues showing drags and serving alcohol as sexually-oriented businesses, the Dallas Morning News reports. Therefore drag shows are subject to specific prohibitions and taxes in the state of Texas.

Is Nate Schatzline Gay – Why Did He Dress In Drag? Sexuality
In the video, Nate is wearing a black with a red eye mask and dancing around with his mates. Despite appearing as a drag himself, Nate Schatzline is not gay.
The video is 86 minutes long. The video shows Schatzline dancing and running in a park. He is even chased by one of his friends around the park with Javi Mula’s track “Sexy Lady” playing in the background.
In the tape, the Texas State congressman was still a teenager. He even confirmed that it is him dressed in women’s clothes in the video.
On March 2, Nate posted on his Twitter, @NateSchatzline, an explanation for his actions with the caption “response to media posting a class project from my teenage years. Sometimes you just gotta laugh.”
According to him, the “Left Wing news media has done exactly what they do.” He even accused the media of twisting the news and stories to be something that they’re not.
Schatzline made clear in a video that, it was just “some class project” he did as a teenager. He said that his “buddies” had “dared” him to wear a dress and therefore he did so.

The congressmen further encouraged controversies when at the end of the video, he said, “let’s have fun with it.” This has invited more criticisms against him as he views dressing up as drag as “a sexually oriented business” but when he does it, it’s something to “have fun with”.
“Y’all really going crazy over me wearing a dress as a joke back in school for a theatre project? Yah, that’s not a sexually explicit drag show… lol y’all will twist ANYTHING,” Nate wrote on Twitter.
He even said that the real message behind making drag performances a no-no in his state is to “ban sexually explicit shows and preserve the innocence of next-generation Texas”.
However, Nate is not gay. He is a loving husband to Adrienne Schatzline. This happily married couple has three sons together.
Nate Schatzline Partner Revealed
The conservative lawmaker is straight and is in fact happily married. His wife is Adrienne Schatzline, a real estate agent at Jason Mitchell Group.
Schatzline and his wife have been together for 11 years. They tied the knot together on June 1, 2011.
The couples are parents to three sons. They have named their sons, Jack Schatzline, Andy Schatzline, and Skylar Schatzline.
The Schatzline couple loves to spend time together as much as possible and travel occasionally.
