Jayne Mansfield Autopsy: How Did She Die? Death Cause And Obituary: The autopsy of Jayne Mansfield shocked her fans and colleagues in the entertainment business. Her beauty skill and persona as a blonde bombshell were well-known.

Jayne Mansfield was an American actress singer nightclub entertainer and Playboy Playmate. Mansfield was well-known for her controversial public attitude and public relations gimmicks while under contract with 20th Century Fox in the 1950s and early 1960s.

Mansfield made her feature debut in Female Jungle a low-budget drama shot in ten days. Her part was filmed over several days and she was paid $150.

In early 1955 it was unofficially released. James Byron her manager and publicist signed a seven-year deal with Warner Bros. in February 1955.

In 1956 she made her television debut as the protagonist in N.B.C.’s The Bachelor. She made her broadcast debut in 1957 reciting Shakespeare (including a passage from Hamlet). She also played the keyboard and the violin.

Jayne Mansfield was a well-known actress who starred in films such as “Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?” and “The Girl Can’t Help It.”

She was sadly killed in a car accident on June 29, 1967. Her death has given rise to a number of legends and misconceptions including the incorrect belief that she was beheaded in the mishap.

Mansfield was slain instantly after her car collided with the rear of a semi-trailer on U.S. Highway 90 in Louisiana according to sources.

Her demise happened when she was only 34 years old. Ronnie Harrison Mansfield’s driver and Sam Brody her lawyer and lover were also slain in the accident.

Mansfield died as a result of blunt force injuries to his skull caused by the impact of the mishap. Contrary to common belief she was not beheaded in the accident. Mansfield perished as a result of severe head injuries and no foul play was suspected.

On July 3 Mansfield was laid to repose in Pen Argyl Pennsylvania. The service was conducted by Charles Montgomery pastor of Zion Methodist Church.

The Pullis Funeral Home chapel hosted a private memorial service. Her funeral was conducted by a Methodist minister. Mickey Hargitay was the only ex-husband present at the funeral. Mansfield was laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery southeast of Pen Argyl alongside her father Herbert Palmer.

Jayne Mansfield had three marriages. The first was to Paul Mansfield a public relations specialist whom she married from 1950 to 1958. She was married to actor/bodybuilder Mickey Hargitay from 1958 to 1963. Matt Cimber a film producer was her third husband from 1964 to 1966.

Jayne met Paul Mansfield at a Christmas Eve party in 1949; she was a Highland Park High School student and he was a Sunset High School student in Dallas. They wedded in Fort Worth Texas on May 6, 1950. Jayne was 17 and three months expectant when they married and Paul was 20.

Mansfield and Mickey Hargitay first encountered on May 13 1956 in New York City’s Latin Quarter nightclub where he was performing as a member of Mae West’s chorus line. Hargitay won the Mr. Universe tournament in 1955 as a bodybuilder and actor.

Mansfield first encountered Italian-born film director Matt Cimber (a.k.a. Matteo Ottaviano né Thomas Vitale Ottaviano) when he directed her in a stage production of Bus Stop in Yonkers New York which also starred Mariska Hargitay.

Sam Brody was suspected of hitting Jayne Marie 16 two weeks before her mother died in 1967. The girl’s subsequent testimony to LAPD Police implicated her mother in enabling the attack.

A juvenile court judge gave Paul’s uncle William W. Pigue and his wife Mary temporary custody of Jayne Marie.
