Rebecca Carlson 39 of Hempstead whose body was found on Tuesday, February 14 in South Hempstead was killed according to Nassau County Police.
Andrew D. Avila 25 of Elmont was charged with her homicide on Thursday, March 2.
Officers were dispatched to a report of a woman discovered unconscious near a dumpster in the rear of Advanced Auto Parts located at 1140 Grand Avenue.
According to the police, Carlson was pronounced dead on the spot.
