Seungkwan parents – Boo Seaungkwan, who goes by the name Seungkwan, is a singer from South Korea. He was born on January 16th, 1998 on an island called Jeju-do.
When Seungkwan was younger, he participated in music festivals at his school. During one of his performances, a teacher recorded him singing and shared it on the internet.
After the video of Seungkwan singing was shared online, a music company called Pledis Entertainment hired him in June 2012. Later on, Seungkwan graduated from Seoul Broadcasting High School in 2016.
Seungkwan career
Seungkwan started his career in the South Korean boy band Seventeen on May 29, 2015, with their first EP called “17 Carat”. In 2018, Seungkwan also released a song called “Kind of Love” for a movie soundtrack called “Mother”.
The song “Kind of Love” has a sad story about love and has a soft, acoustic sound. Seungkwan also became part of a smaller group within Seventeen called BSS or BooSeokSoon. This group is made up of three members: Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan.
On March 21 of a certain year, Seventeen’s sub-group BSS released their first song called “Just Do It.” Seungkwan also became a host of a talk show called “Unexpected Q” during that year. He won an award for being a new talent in music and talk shows at the 2018 MBC Entertainment Awards.
Seungkwan acted in two TV shows in 2019 called “Prison Life of Fools” and “Five Cranky Brothers”. He also released a new song called “Go” for the album “Record of Youth” on September 7, 2020.
On January 29, 2021, Seungkwan created a new song called “The Reason” for the TV show called “Lovestruck in the City”. The song was part of the show’s soundtrack.
Seungkwan acted in a TV series called “Job Dongsan and the Idol Dictation Contest” alongside Super Junior’s Eunhyuk and Kang Ho-dong.
Later on, Seungkwan appeared on a new TV show about badminton called “Racket Boys”. The show had other famous people like Olympic champion Oh Sang-uk, Jang Sung-kyu, and Yang Se-chan.
In January 2022, Seungkwan was given an award for being a great male entertainer at the 2022 Korea First Brand Daesang event.

Seungkwan’s parents are Boo Jinyoung and Jwa Kyehwa. He has two older sisters named Boo Sojeong and Boo Jinseol who have the same parents as him.
