Markus Allen is an American former football running back born on March 26, 1960. Markus Allen was in the NFL for 16 years mostly playing for the Los Angeles Raiders.
Allen was known for his goal-line and short-yard running skills and was selected 10th overall by the Raiders in the 1982 NFL Draft. Allen spent 11 seasons with the Raiders and his last five seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.

In four seasons he rushed for 4664 yards scored 46 touchdowns and averaged 5.2 yards per carry. He was a unanimous first-team All-American in 1981 won the Heisman Trophy and led USC to a Rose Bowl victory.
Markus Allen’s NFL Career
Markus Allen’s success in college football led him to be selected in the 1982 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Raiders. Markus Allen was on the Raiders team for 11 years and they won the Super Bowl in 1983. He also got the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award in 1984.
Allen finished his NFL career with 12243 rushing yards 123 rushing touchdowns and 5411 receiving yards. In 1999 he was ranked 72nd on the Sporting News list of the 100 Greatest Football Players.
