Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has been speaking about the current dynamic in the Chelsea dressing room.

Chelsea have a new manager in Enzo Maresca at the helm, while the club have also made several new signings this summer.

The above includes Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga and Tosin Adarabioyo. With the transfer window still open, there could be more arrivals as well.

Chelsea are trying to secure Filip Jorgensen’s services, which is actually not good news for Sanchez.

The Spanish goalkeeper seems happy for now, though, hailing the Chelsea dressing room while predicting a big year for the team.

Robert Sanchez talks Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall arrival

Sanchez did not get a chance to play with Dewsbury-Hall on Thursday in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Wrexham.

Dewsbury-Hall is carrying a small injury problem, but Sanchez says the midfielder and Chelsea’s other new signings are settling in fine.

The 26-year-old has also said that he is getting along well with Dewsbury-Hall. Speaking to journalist Ben Jacobs, he said: “The changing room is amazing. The new guys feel at home straight away.

“I am getting on really well with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. Everybody looks top. It’s going to be a great team this year.”

Robert Sanchez, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Chelsea need good pre-season

It is a big pre-season for Sanchez and Dewsbury-Hall. The former needs to prove himself as Chelsea try to bring in a new goalkeeper, while the latter also needs to do the same as a new arrival.

Dewsbury-Hall will want to start in midfield when Chelsea take on Manchester City in the Premier League on August 18. But that is not an easy thing to do when you are having to compete against Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

Of course, the new Chelsea manager using a 4-3-3 could fit all of them in, and that was his regular formation at Leicester City last season.

With Chelsea’s first game of the 2024/25 campaign being against the Premier League champions, the team as a whole need to have a strong pre-season so they are ready for a tough opening fixture.

Maresca will be desperate to earn at least a point when his former club make the trip down to Stamford Bridge next month.
