Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has been the shining light in the squad this season and a perfect example to others around him.
Despite the fact this is his first campaign at Stamford Bridge, Cole Palmer has set the tone with his performances on a consistent basis.
The 21-year-old attacker is now up to 12 goals and nine assists from his opening 29 Blues appearances.
It’s interesting to hear what the England star thinks about his teammates.
During an interview with Carabao Cup ahead of this weekend’s final versus Liverpool, Palmer was asked to build the perfect Chelsea player from the current squad.
He delivered some interesting answers, including picking Raheem Sterling as the player with the best right foot at Chelsea.
Mentality: “Thiago Silva.”
Vision: “I’ll say Enzo Fernandez.”
Speed: “I’ll say [Mykhailo] Mudryk.”
Left foot: “Can I say myself? I’ll say me.”
Right foot: “I’ll say Raheem Sterling.”
Raheem Sterling quality
We’d be looking towards Reece James, Enzo Fernandez or Thiago Silva as the best right foot in the squad.

But Palmer’s played alongside Sterling at both Chelsea and Manchester City, so it’s no real surprise he got a special mention.
We’ve seen over a long, long time just how effective Sterling can be. The 29-year-old forward is one of the most experienced players in the Blues group with so much quality.
The winger’s form has been a bit up and down this season, but he’s still weighed in with eight goals and eight assists so far.
Journalist Dean Jones recently told GiveMeSport that Chelsea’s hierarchy are currently split on whether to keep or sell Sterling in the summer transfer window.
He’s clearly rated by some of his peers, so could it be a blow to the dressing room to lose him?
