Jordan Spieth has confirmed that the 49ers Enterprises’ investment in Leeds is now done.
He was one of three golf stars keen to buy a stake at the club, but Rickie Fowler has now withdrawn his interest.

Just two weeks after their Premier League relegation, Leeds were taken over by 49ers Enterprises.
It brought an end to Andrea Radrizzani’s six-year reign as owner at Elland Road with his 56 per cent stake being bought.
Fowler then revealed that with Spieth and Justin Thomas, they were interested in investing into the club after the takeover.
However, Spieth has now revealed that the 34-year-old will no longer join them.
When asked by Sky Sports if his fellow golfer is still involved, he said: “I don’t think so, no. I think he decided once they were relegated against it.”
“Relegation wasn’t ideal,” he admitted. “But we got involved with the 49ers group who were purchasing a larger share to own Leeds United.
“They do the stuff they do so successfully everywhere else they’ve touched and thought it would be a really cool opportunity. It’s a big city, historic club, great venue Elland Road. When you start to look into it, it was really exciting.
“With relegation we were able to renegotiate and then we got to decide if we wanted to do it or not. It was never really a decision, we wanted to do it, it just ended up being possibly a better deal as long as they can get promoted soon.

“We’re just watching, but I’m really excited to have a team I’m emotionally invested in. I’ve watched Premier League soccer now for the last few years pretty intently, so it’ll be Championship soccer now and then hopefully Premier League very soon.”
When questioned about the status of their investment, he said: “It’s done. It’s done so myself and Justin, we’re involved in a very, very minority stake.
“But within the bigger 49ers association, they somehow figure out how to beat my [NFL side, Dallas] Cowboys every single year anyway so if you can’t beat, them join them.”
