Cole Palmer takes to Instagram after England win

Like most players today, Palmer put up a post on Instagram after the Three Lions’ progression to the Euro 2024 quarter-finals.

In it, the 22-year-old added a few pictures along with the caption “till the end. Onto the quarters!!”.

In response, Mainoo simply sent a love heart emoji to his teammate.

The two will take on each other in November when Chelsea travel to Old Trafford to face United in the new Premier League season.

Will Kobbie Mainoo and Cole Palmer start in the next round at Euro 2024?

It was not England’s best 90 minutes against Slovakia before they went into extra time.

However, Mainoo was definitely one of the Three Lions’ brighter players on the day.

According to WhoScored, the 19-year-old made 65 accurate passes, the fifth most in the game. He also made one key pass.

Mainoo probably did just about enough to retain his spot in the team.

As for Palmer, he has obviously had matches where he has been way more influential. With that in mind, you would expect him to remain on the bench, while Bukayo Saka continues on the right.

Both still very young players, though, Mainoo and Palmer could become England regulars in the near future.
