Chelsea supporters on social media are delighted by the reports they’re now hearing about Mykhailo Mudryk.

Mykhailo Mudryk signed for Chelsea 18 months ago in the January window of 2023, but it’s fair to say he’s yet to really hit top form in English football.

The winger’s scored just seven goals in 58 games for the Blues. It’s actually been quite difficult for the 23-year-old to find any consistency at Stamford Bridge.

When speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast last month, Alan Shearer said there’s quality within Mudryk, but he needs a lot of work still to show it.

Chelsea fans delighted with Mykhailo Mudryk cutting his holiday short

Despite the fact Mudryk was involved with Ukraine at Euro 2024 this summer, he’s been pictured around the club’s training pictures during the opening two weeks of pre-season.

The Daily Mail claims that Mudryk is keen to impress Enzo Maresca, which is why he cut his summer holiday short and joined up with the squad. Maresca is Chelsea’s new head coach this season, so now is a great time for the players to get used to his ideas.

A selection of Chelsea supporters on X are full of praise for Mudryk because of his actions and commitment…

One fan said: “This guy have been showing signs he wants to improve I just hope and pray he find his form.”

Another wrote: “This is the energy we need.”

One supporter posted: “Things I love to hear. Fight for the badge and your position!”

Another shared: “Mudryk’s dedication is clear. Could be the fresh start he needs at Chelsea.”

Finally, one fan said: “Works harder than anyone else on the team but gets the most hate.”

Can 2024/25 season be a significant one for Mykhailo Mudryk?

On paper, Mudryk could be a big success story at Chelsea next year. The fast left-winger suits the style that Maresca played at Leicester City last season, so let’s see if the change of management helps him kick on.

The Ukraine international should be aiming for double figures in both goals and assists each season to become a top-class attacker.

It cost Chelsea £89m (BBC) to bring Mudryk to the club from Shakhtar Donetsk, so it’s about time they started to get a proper reward on that investment. He’s got plenty of time to come good at the age of 23, but it feels like patience may be running thin with him.

One huge tick by his name that should go a long way to aiding success is a brilliant attitude.
