Manchester United believe they are getting closer to signing Mason Mount, talkSPORT understands
A new offer, understood to be worth around £50million, is still short of Chelsea’s valuation but United are confident of getting a deal done.

Manchester United’s second offer for Mount is a significant improvement on the £40m first bid.
However, they will likely need to go further in order to get the deal across the line.
A total package of £60m, made up of £55m plus £5m in add-ons, could be enough to land Mount.
The 24-year-old has one-year left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge with negotiations over a new deal breaking down.

The England star is likely to be one of the cornerstone transfers from Chelsea this summer as Mauricio Pochettino’s bloated squad gets trimmed down.
They have already agreed a £65m fee with Arsenal for Kai Havertz, while Mateo Kovacic is heading to Man City for £30m.
Erik ten Hag is pushing for Mount this summer as he looks to improve his squad.
Fred, Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire and Anthony Martial could all be allowed to leave, while Wout Weghorst’s loan was not made permanent.
A new striker is also on Ten Hag’s wish list with Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund among the top candidates.
