Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino was seen last night attending one match in Europe as his side continued preparation for their next game.

The Argentine was seen at the Amex, as Brighton looked to do what seemed the impossible against Roma in the second leg of their knockout tie.

Led by reported Chelsea manager target Roberto De Zerbi, the Seagulls fell victim of an embarrassing defeat in Italy last week.

Supporters who are considering a future without Pochettino at Stamford Bridge will likely not have been impressed by the Brighton boss’ inability to change his tactics to suit the occasion.

Despite a 1-0 win last night, it was not enough at all against a weaker Roma team that did not include Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku.

Pochettino was in attendance alongside director Paul Winstanley, potentially hinting that the relationship between the two is not as bad as many feared.

As they reportedly target a striker, the name of Evan Ferguson has been frequently mentioned as one who the club are big admirers of.

While he didn’t start last night, his talent is known around the game as one of the up and coming top talents in the league.

He was a name who recently came up when in discussion with a former scout from Chelsea, who mentioned that he didn’t believe the Ireland international was quick enough to make it.

The Blues have been linked to a number of options who could come in to play up front over the summer, however they are safe in the knowledge they are likely going to need to sell before they make some big signings.
