Atletico Madrid are reportedly convinced that one Chelsea star is going to push to join them this summer.
Chelsea are in a position where they probably need to sell some players before the transfer window closes.
They currently have a lot of centre-backs, so Trevoh Chalobah is one man who they may need to offload. However, Chalobah has already rejected Crystal Palace.
Chelsea also have a bit of a dilemma with Conor Gallagher. The midfielder has entered the final year of his contract.
If he does not sign a new one or is not sold this summer, then the Blues are in danger of losing him for nothing in 2025.

What Atletico Madrid expect Conor Gallagher to do
With Gallagher’s contract running down, then, Chelsea selling him during this transfer window looks like a strong possibility.
Their valuation of him could prove to be a bit of a problem, though, as Chelsea want £50m for Gallagher.
Right now, Atletico appear to be his biggest suitors. According to AS, Atletico are interested in Gallagher and believe that he wants to join the club this summer.
The same outlet has also claimed that Atletico are confident that the Englishman will do everything in his power to secure a move to Diego Simeone’s side.
Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy has heard otherwise, however. According to Cundy, it is Gallagher’s desire to remain at Chelsea.
Conor Gallagher will not push for Chelsea move
It is really hard to imagine Gallagher being the one to try and force a move to Atletico.
He loves Chelsea, captaining the club on multiple occasions last term and coming through its academy. If he were offered a new contract tomorrow, you would expect him to sign it.
The problem is Chelsea have not done that yet. Until they do, his future is going to remain up in the air.
Again, though, his price tag is an issue. Chelsea themselves don’t think Atletico can purchase Gallagher.
