A big week for Chelsea could be coming as they look to bring in a new striker.

Chelsea have already made several signings this summer to improve their squad.

Renato Veiga, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman and Tosin Adarabioyo have all been brought in since the transfer window opened.

The Blues have also signed Marc Guiu, who is a striker.

However, with there being a possibility that Guiu could leave Chelsea on loan, the club may need to recruit another centre-forward. The Spaniard is only 18 years old as well. Even if he stays, Enzo Maresca may feel he needs a bit more experience in his squad.

Chelsea could try to sign new striker in the coming week

If Maresca wants more experience up front, then Serie A could be a good place to look.

The likes of Victor Osimhen, Lautaro Martinez and Dusan Vlahovic are all seasoned forwards with good goal records.

Osimhen has been heavily linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge, and there is now talk about Chelsea potentially making a fresh move for him soon.

According to CaughtOffside, Chelsea are preparing to hold new talks over signing the Napoli star in the coming week.

He scored 17 goals in 32 appearances for Napoli last season. Napoli could sign Romelu Lukaku to replace Osimhen if the 25-year-old does leave Antonio Conte’s side this summer.

Chelsea should consider Ollie Watkins move if they cannot sign Victor Osimhen

Osimhen, who has been hailed as a “world-class striker” by AS Monaco’s Folarin Balogun, is going to cost a fortune this summer, especially if Napoli do not want to budge on his release clause.

The same applies to Ollie Watkins, and that is if Aston Villa would even consider a sale.

It seems unlikely after the England forward signed a new long-term contract last year.

But if Chelsea cannot land Osimhen for whatever reason, then it could be worth making a big bid for someone like Watkins and just see what happens.

The 28-year-old proved to be one of the best strikers in the Premier League last season, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists in 37 outings.
