Chelsea’s first team players will be beginning to get to grips with what the new manager is looking to do over the last two weeks at Cobham.
Enzo Maresca has a number of training sessions under his belt now, and will have an idea of which players he will be looking to rely on next season.
Maresca’s sessions have gone down well with the players, and he has been frequently observed as a hands-on kind of coach.
There are a few first team stars he has not yet had an opportunity to work with after they represented their countries deep into either the European Championships of the Copa America.
One of those has been Cole Palmer, however the Italian will know a lot about him following their succesful spell working together at the academy of Manchester City.
Chelsea think Cole Palmer can be even better under Maresca
Despite the incredible numbers he produced in his debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, The Telegraph have claimed that the club believe he could actually improve under Maresca.
It is fair to say it is difficult to imagine Palmer being able to do anymore than he did last season as far as an individual effort goes.
Gary Cahill described him as ‘phenomenal’ ahead of the upcoming pre-season tour of the United States.
‘Phenomenal’ Palmer a record-breaker in Fantasy Premier League
Chelsea supporters looking to bring him into their Fantasy Premier League sides will have noted that he has become a lot more of a luxury asset.
Palmer has jumped in price by a record amount in the game, a statement as to how impressive he was last season.
Another player Chelsea are reportedly still hoping for big things from is Mykhailo Mudryk, who returned to training early after his Euro 2024 exit.
It has been claimed the Blues are dreaming of Mudryk starting regularly for them in the future, however he has to show the glimpses of talent he has showcased on a far more common basis.
