Reports have claimed that Chelsea have just sent scouts to attend one of the biggest games in Europe that took place last night.
According to Record Portugal, the Blues had staff in attendance to watch the second leg of the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup.
With what is looking set to be another big transfer window for both incomings and outgoings at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea have reportedly turned their attention to the Portuguese league to try and fill a number of positions.
Chelsea send scouts to Benfica vs Sporting
This is perhaps why they were in attendance last night to watch Benfica vs Sporting Lisbon, which ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw.
The aggregate result saw Sporting go through to the final, and a number of players had the opportunity to impress scouts from a number of top sides who were reportedly in attendance.
Chelsea were said to be one of those, and taking into account the recent transfer rumours about them, it is perhaps clear who they were there to see.

It is perhaps clear to see why, with him being on more than 50 goals and assists in all competitions this season.
With the release clause included in the Sweden international’s contract, there is a real chance he is on the move this summer, and Chelsea are one of the clubs who have been credited with interest.
Another player from Sporting they have previously been linked to is Ousmane Diomande, as they reportedly look to strengthen at the back.
It has actually been claimed that they have already opened talks over the signing of the 20-year-old, with him certainly fitting their mantra of signing top young players.
The Sporting manager may also have been someone that they were keen on keeping an eye on too, with them being linked to the hiring of Ruben Amorim if they don’t continue with Mauricio Pochettino.
