Chelsea thinks Marc Guiu is a bargain signing believing that they’ve just completed a super bit of business in the transfer window.

The Blues have been quite busy so far this summer with plenty of incomings and outgoings at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea have already confirmed the sales of Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson.

In terms of arrivals, they’ve added Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo to the squad.

Chelsea thinks Marc Guiu is a bargain signing

Football.London claims that Chelsea completed the signing of Guiu from Barcelona in a deal worth £5m.

It is understood that the Blues feel like the 18-year-old Spanish striker is a ‘brilliant talent’ that they’ve recruited for a really cheap fee because of his minimal £5m release clause.

The report says that Chelsea have already told Guiu that he’ll be part of their first-team squad next season.

Apparently, there’s a chance that the teenage forward may be the back-up option to Nicolas Jackson for the No 9 position next year. Chelsea are still in the transfer market to bring in another central striker, though.

Only time will tell what sort of deal Chelsea have got for Guiu.

The youngster scored two goals in seven senior appearances for Barcelona, but he’s still relatively inexperienced on the first-team stage.

Chelsea’s ST options next season

As it stands, Jackson looks like he could be the first-choice striker again going into next season.

In fairness, he did score 17 goals across all competitions last year in his debut campaign with Chelsea.

Guiu’s arrival adds a bit more depth up top.

Also, Christopher Nkunku is a versatile attacker available to the Blues who’s more than capable of leading the line as a prominent goal threat.
