With the transfer window still open, Chelsea and Liverpool both look keen to strengthen their attacks.
Chelsea have been trying to all summer but have not had too much success. They have managed to bring in Marc Guiu.
The striker started in his side’s 4-1 loss to Celtic on Saturday, and Enzo Maresca is expecting Guiu to stay in west London.
However, the Spaniard is still just 18, meaning that Chelsea have not signed a proven centre-forward yet, while they have also failed to land a winger.
Both the Blues and their rivals Liverpool, though, appear to have interest in one Premier League wide man.

Liverpool and Chelsea interested in Anthony Gordon
Chelsea currently have Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling for the left-wing position, but that has not stopped links with Newcastle United’s Anthony Gordon.
Liverpool and Arne Slot, however, look to be the ones who are the most keen on the 23-year-old. According to CaughtOffside, while Chelsea are interested in Gordon, Liverpool are renegotiating with Newcastle to sign the Englishman.
He will not come cheap, though. It has been claimed in the past that Gordon could cost up to £75m this summer.
He is one of Newcastle’s star players, scoring 11 goals and providing 10 assists in 35 Premier League appearances last season.
Liverpool more likely to sign Anthony Gordon than Chelsea
Gordon could be a really good addition to Maresca’s squad looking at the above. At Newcastle, the former Everton man has really improved his end product.
However, with Mudryk and Sterling still at Stamford Bridge and Liverpool supposedly negotiating a deal for him, a move to Anfield seems more likely.
Eddie Howe will be desperate to keep hold of him, though. Again, Gordon was so key for the Magpies during the 2023/24 campaign.
It probably will take a fee around the £75m mark for Newcastle to sell the England international before the transfer window closes, which Liverpool and Chelsea may not want to pay.
