A lot of eyes will be on one Chelsea player at Euro 2024 this summer.

Chelsea could have several stars involved at the tournament in Germany, including the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Cole Palmer and Conor Gallagher.

All three players had strong seasons, so you would expect them to have parts at this summer’s Euros.

Lukaku and Palmer were goal threats for AS Roma, where the former spent the campaign on loan, and Chelsea respectively. Lukaku scored 21 times in all competitions, while Palmer netted on 25 occasions.

As for Gallagher, he was an ever-present under former manager Mauricio Pochettino, making 50 appearances.

Euro 2024 could play role in Chelsea man’s future

It looks like Euro 2024 is going to have an impact on one Chelsea player’s future and could help decide where he ends up this summer.

According to GiveMeSport, there are going to be loads of clubs who monitor how Lukaku gets on at the tournament.

The Blues are trying to offload him, with the same outlet claiming that they would sell the striker for £38m.

It has been reported that Chelsea have already rebuffed AC Milan’s attempts to bring Lukaku in on loan.

Romelu Lukaku should not have to prove himself at Euro 2024

It should not take clubs a few games at the Euros to decide whether they want to sign Lukaku or not.

The Belgium international has proven that he is a reliable goalscorer down the years, with his latest campaign just one example of his ability to find the back of the net.

At this stage of his career, you already know what you are going to get from Lukaku. Those wanting to watch him at the Euros are not going to see anything new from the 31-year-old.

Whatever happens in Germany, Chelsea will just want to sell Lukaku permanently. He has now had two successive loan spells away from the club and there are clearly no plans to reintegrate him into the first team. Another loan would be pointless.
