Everyone at Chelsea must feel like the weight of the world is on their shoulders going into tonight’s game against Manchester United, particularly Blues head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea are back in Premier League action on Thursday evening when they host Man United at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side go into the midweek fixture currently sitting 12th in the league table, which highlights just how poor things have been so far this campaign.
The Blues seriously need to pull themselves together and string more wins together in their final 10 league matches to claw their way back into the European positions.
What sources are saying about Mauricio Pochettino
GIVEMESPORT sources claim that Chelsea boss Pochettino is under “fresh scrutiny” going into Thursday’s showdown with Man United.
It is explained that the 52-year-old Blues head coach has “no guarantees” over his future at Stamford Bridge, with the pressure only cranked up for tonight’s game.
The report claims that Pochettino is still expected to keep his job until the end of the season, but there will then be a review regarding his position in the summer.

Apparently, Chelsea are not actively looking for a new manager. They are making background checks on who may be available, though.
Potential replacement
As mentioned above, Pochettino’s still actively working as Chelsea boss and he’s trying to turn things around. A win at home to Man United would be a great start and the right way to bounce back from the weekend’s 2-2 draw with Burnley.
However, it’s no great surprise other individuals are now being linked in the media as a potential Pochettino replacement.
Journalist Florian Plettenberg reported via X a couple of days ago that Chelsea are monitoring Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim should they get rid of Pochettino. Incidentally, he’s also appreciated by both Barcelona and Liverpool.
