Harry Kane could net a whopping £400,000-a-week wages if he chooses to sign new deal at Tottenham, talkSPORT understands.

Kane has been subject of increased speculation over his future with under 12 months remaining on his existing deal.

Bayern Munich have submitted two offers for the England captain but are yet to find a breakthrough.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no intention of selling the 29-year-old this summer.

To incentivise the striker into staying put, Spurs are willing to offer Kane wages of £400,000-a-week.

But Kane’s reluctance to put pen-to-paper appears to be centred on the club’s chances of competing for silverware rather than financial gain.

Kane is due to meet new boss Ange Postecoglou upon his return to pre-season training but the Australian admitted he has not received any assurances over the striker’s future.

“I haven’t had any assurances and I wouldn’t expect any assurances, because when you’re dealing with these kinds of things you’re never dealing with definites or certainties,” he said.

“I just kind of go along and try to concentrate on the things I know right now. What I know right now is that Harry is part of this squad and he’s looking forward to coming back to training and being amongst these players and starting to work together.”

Bayern believe Kane is enthused by a move to the Bundesliga with boss Thomas Tuchel pushing to add the striker to his frontline.

Tuchel has reportedly told Kane that his addition would be the key component for Bayern to win the Champions League.

Kane is without a trophy in his professional career and Tottenham’s failure to qualify for Europe next season makes Bayern’s proposal all the more enticing.
