One Chelsea player is unlikely to move to Crystal Palace this summer despite interest from the south London club.
With the transfer window still open, more departures at Stamford Bridge are expected. So far, Chelsea have already allowed the likes of Ian Maatsen and Omari Hutchinson to leave the club.
Players such as Trevoh Chalobah and Conor Gallagher could soon follow them out of the exit door.
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca currently has a lot of centre-back options, which is not good news for Chalobah, while Gallagher has entered the final year of his contract.
Former Chelsea player Jason Cundy understands that Gallagher wants an extension. But if one is not signed this summer, then you would expect the Blues to sell the midfielder.

Trevoh Chalobah turns down Crystal Palace
Several teams are interested in Chalobah, but the 25-year-old does not look desperate to leave Stamford Bridge.
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Substack that Chalobah has “turned away approaches” from three Premier League clubs, including Palace.
He became an important player for Chelsea towards the end of last season, starting in each of their final five Premier League fixtures.
However, with Mauricio Pochettino no longer at the club and other defenders coming in, his future in west London is far from certain.
In the past, Chalobah has been praised for his character. “He’s an impressive character, very focused on his football,” Graham Potter was quoted as saying by Chelsea’s official website.
Trevoh Chalobah should consider joining Crystal Palace
It is understandable that Chalobah is reluctant to leave Chelsea. They are his boyhood club, with the former England U21 international coming through their academy.
However, he could easily find game time hard to come by in the new season. Maresca currently has Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Axel Disasi and Wesley Fofana as his centre-back options.
Renato Veiga, who joined Chelsea from Basel earlier this month, can also play in central defence.
Ultimately, there is going to be a lot of competition at the back at Chelsea in the 2024/25 campaign. If Chalobah wants guaranteed minutes, then he should consider moving to Palace or another Premier League club this summer.
