An Aussie tourist has divided opinion with her very risqué choice of outfit for a night on the town in Paris.

Sophia Begg, 19, who goes by ‘Sopha Dopha’ on TikTok, raised eyebrows on Tuesday when she shared photos of herself posing braless in a completely see-through gown.

The influencer completed her look with a tiny white G-string, and posed from various angles to show off her barely covered physique in a hotel mirror.

The floor-length dress, by Jacquemus and worth $1,815, would do little to protect Sophie from the Parisian winter, where temperatures have plunged below zero in recent days.

‘Feelin like a princess’, she wrote in the caption.

Sophia’s look sparked debate among her fans, with several questioning whether it was appropriate to flash so much skin on the streets of Paris.

‘Why even get dressed?’ one person commented.

Another fan asked whether the dress was actually a swimming costume cover-up, prompting someone else to reply: ‘It has to be, she’s literally naked.’

However, others were quick to defend Sophie’s raunchy look, with one commenting, ‘Best thing you’ve ever worn’, while another added: ‘An actual goddess!’

It comes after Sophia was slammed by the Outspoken podcast for promoting extreme sun-tanning, having only recently preached about sun safety.

In December, Sophia posted an Instagram Story of herself sunbaking and wrote: ‘I’ve laid in the sun – no joke – every single day for two to three hours with tanning oil.

‘Why am I not a bronze goddess?’

Describing Sophia as a ‘barometer for Gen Z’, podcast co-host Sophie Taeuber said she was shocked as the influencer says she ‘wears suncream as primer every day’.

‘For her to promote herself tanning just seemed really left field and in the photo, it’s also quite concerning because her cheeks are really bright red colour.

In an Instagram post last month, Sophia claimed she’d been lying on the beach with tanning oil for days in a quest to become a bronze goddess.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia,  Professor Tanya Buchanan, Cancer Council Australia CEO explained against the dangers of extreme tanning.

‘A suntan is a sign of skin damage. When skin is exposed to UV radiation, more melanin is produced causing the skin to darken. This is what we know as a ‘suntan’. There is no such thing as a safe suntan,’ she said.

‘Sun damage accumulates over time, so even if you’re seeking a suntan but not burning, you’re still increasing your risk of skin cancer.’
