Fountain of youth! Carson Kressley, 53, looks like he has barely aged a day after his rise to fame on Queer Eye almost twenty years ago as he touches down for WorldPride in Sydney

He rose to fame as a fashion specialist on Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.

And Carson Kressley has barely aged a day since the show first premiered almost twenty years ago.

The American star, 53, looked incredibly youthful as he touched down in Sydney on Thursday for WorldPride celebrations.

Caron dressed comfortably for his flight – wearing a fitted white woollen jumper and black track pants paired with a baseball cap and multi-coloured white sneakers.

Carson wheeled his own luggage, including a $3,550 Louis Vuitton weekender bag.

At one point he was seen texting on his phone and looked to be waiting on an Uber following the flight.

Carson has been a familiar face on Aussie TV screens over the years after starring on Queer Eye for four years, and taking part in the Australian version of I’m Of A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2017.

During his stint on the reality series he said that it was no big surprise when he came out to his parents.

Carson, who was 33-years-old at the time, told his parents just a weekend before making the cover of TV Guide for Queer Eye.

‘We were going to be on the cover of TV guide – I knew it was coming out on a Tuesday – for the premiere of the show.

‘I told them I was doing this new show and they were like ‘What’s it called?’ I’m like, ‘It doesn’t have a name yet, it’s the untitled makeover show’.’

As his big TV moment loomed, Carson knew he had to tell his parents the truth.

He said: ‘Literally the weekend before the TV guide was coming out with us on the cover and the show’s name, I had to tell them.’

‘I said, “The show that I’m doing is called Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”. She said, “Let me guess, you’re not the straight guy? Yeah. We kind of knew”. It was not a big news flash at my house.’

Carson also opened up to his camp mates about the frequent bullying that he suffered as a young gay man at school.

He said: ‘The thing that’s especially difficult for gay kids: You go home and you’re afraid to tell anyone, because you’re afraid nobody will love you.’

Carson began his career working as an independent stylist and then worked for Ralph Lauren in menswear and corporate advertising from 1994 to 2002.

He then became the fashion savant on Queer Eye when the show debuted on the Bravo cable television network in 2003.
