Channel Ten entices punters to join live studio audience for new season of The Project by offering ‘free lollies’

Channel Ten is attempting to bring in studio audience members for the new season of The Project in 2023. 

The network posted a call out for punters to come along to upcoming tapings on both Instagram and the Ten Play website over the weekend. 

Among the enticements for potential audience attendees was the offer of free sweets.

The Ten Play advertisement advises that those who go along can, ‘Eat free lollies. If you like’. 

Additionally it promises plenty of laughter, ‘including at some exclusive, not-for-broadcast, ad-break-only comedy from the Project team.’

A further enticement is seeing, ‘what happens in the ad breaks, including some comedy that we would never be able to broadcast.’

Tickets are free, and those keen to join the studio audience can apply via the Ten Play site for shows taped in Sydney and Melbourne.   

New stars Sam Taunton and Michael Hing will join the show in 2023, alongside Sarah Harris and existing panelists Waleed Aly and Hamish Macdonald. 

Georgie Tunny, who has already been a regular fixture on the current affairs show, will also appear on the new season.  

The Project has been rocked by several high-profile exits in recent months. Lisa Wilkinson (pictured) announced last year that she was quitting effective immediately

It follows the mass departure of stars Carrie Bickmore, Lisa Wilkinson and Peter Helliar from the troubled series. 

Tommy Little was also quietly removed as a regular panellist last month.  

The stand-up comic is no longer an ‘official’ cast member but will appear on the show sporadically, according to TV Blackbox
