Coronation Street star lands new Hollyoaks role just weeks after he was set to return to the cobbles with a new horror drug storyline
A Coronation Street star, who has just made the announcement he will be returning to the cobbles, has landed a new Hollyoaks role in the meantime.
Anthony Crank, 49, is best known for playing Dean Turnbull, an all round villain and drug dealer in the soap.
While he is set to make a comeback in Corrie later this year, the actor has landed a new role in Hollyoaks as a character called Kenneth.
Revealing a sneak peak to his Instagram fans, Anthony shared a picture of him as Kenneth in Hollyoaks, standing next to James Sutton who plays Jean Paul.
He wrote: ‘Ru-Vealing times at ‘The Loft Pride Party’ as Kenneth in as part of Jean Paul’s brilliant new storyline coming soon…’

As well as acting, Anthony is best known for hosting Sunday morning show T4 between 2002 and 2005.
In Corrie, Dean was last seen on the soap fighting Abi Webster for dead when she tricked him into admitting he stole a sports car from the garage.

She was forced to use it as a battering ram to escape a smoke-filled garage.
That came just days after he abandoned her when she went into surprise early labour with her baby.
According to The Sun, a source said: ‘Dean’s back for a limited time but he’s just as dangerous as before.’
‘He’s got history with Abi but she’s not the only addict on the street that Dean knows – Cassie Plummer could be in his orbit too.’
