Fantasy film The Portable Door leads Stan’s streaming highlights for April

Streaming giant Stan has released a preview of its highlights for the month of April.

The Australian fantasy film The Portable Door leads next month’s new releases.

Starring Christoph Waltz and Sam Neill, the SFX-heavy family movie drops on April 7.

Set in London, The Portable Door also features Patrick Gibson (The OA) as a low-paid intern who discovers mysterious goings-on at a secretive corporation.

Totally Completely Fine, a six-part black comedy, hits the platform on April 20.

The Stan Original series stars Thomasin McKenzie (Last Night in Soho) as a young woman whose life is a mess.

She manages to turn things around for herself after moving into her late grandfather’s house, which happens to be on a cliff.

When Thomasin discovers her new home is the site of a ‘suicide spot’, she finds herself saving lives.

Horror fans are in for a treat with the blood-curdling U.S. thriller From premiering on Stan on April 24.

The show’s plot deals with a mysterious small town that traps all who enter.

Each night, the freaked-out inhabitants have to battle bloodthirsty monsters, while survivors struggle to discover the secret behind the mysterious creatures.

Comedy-drama Blindspotting will be returning for a second season on April 14.

Starring Jasmine Cephas Jones, the follows a group of characters in the Bay Area around Oakland, San Francisco.

Fans can also look forward to more episodes of the critically acclaimed series Lucky Hank, starring Bob Odenkirk (pictured)

Starring Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad), the show is a wicked black comedy set on an American college campus.

Odenkirk, as the title character Hank, is a novelist-turned- teacher struggling to keep his sanity in woke environment.

Other highlights include the director’s cut of Steven Spielberg’s 1977 classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and the Underworld movie franchise.
