Kayla Itsines breaks her silence on her $486m split with ex-fiancé Tobi Pearce and makes scathing remarks about their relationship: ‘He came to me with no family, no sense of that’
Kayla Itsines has finally broken her silence about her split from her ex-fiancé and business partner Tobi Pearce.
The fitness influencer and entrepreneur, 32, split from the EzLicence CEO in 2020 and has remained tight-lipped on the separation since.
After meeting in late 2012, the pair launched the Bikini Body Training Company and went on to amass a following of more than 20million fitness enthusiasts worldwide thanks to their workouts, app and health books.
The ex-couple were named joint tenth on the Australian Financial Review’s Young Rich List for 2019 with a fortune of $486million, making them the wealthiest self-made 20-somethings in Australia.
They were also both co-founders of the digital workout app, SWEAT, which they cold to US company iFit for $400 million in 2021.

In a candid interview with the Australian Financial Review, Kayla admitted that she doesn’t even know how she got into a relationship with Tobi due to their differences.
‘We are the polar opposite of one another,’ she told the publication.
‘I look back and think, “I have no idea how that all happened.”‘
Kayla went on to describe Tobi as ‘money-driven’ and ‘business-minded’, while she considers herself to be more family orientated.

She said: ‘Nothing about my previous relationship was easy. It was always hard. It was always a battle’
‘I really don’t think, stepping back and looking at my years with Tobi, that we were anything alike,’ she added.
‘I’m a fixer. I want to make your day is the best day possible. I want to make sure if you are in my house, you feel warm and comfortable and loved. That’s me. Tobi came to me with no family, no sense of that.
‘I thought, “I can fix you.” He told me, “We’re dating. Now we’re starting a business. Now we’re doing this.”‘
Kayla and Tobi have since moved on with new relationships. The female fitness coach is now engaged to Jae Woodroffe while Tobi is dating Move With Us founder Rachel Dillion

She added: ‘Nothing about my previous relationship was easy. It was always hard. It was always a battle.’
Kayla and Tobi have since moved on with new relationships, but they continue to co-parent their daughter Arna, four, in Adelaide.
The female fitness coach is now engaged to Jae Woodroffe after he popped the question in July last year.
She and Jae also welcomed their first child together, a son named Jax, in January.
Meanwhile, Tobi is dating Move With Us founder and former WBFF champion Rachel Dillon, who recently moved from the Gold Coast to Adelaide and live with him.
