Indiyah Polack and Sam Thompson have been unveiled as the new Love Island podcast hosts and regular Aftersun panellists for the upcoming winter series.

Former Love Island finalist Indiyah, 24, and superfan Sam, 30, will be coming together to spill the tea on all the latest goings on in the South African villa.

The news comes as Love Island bosses are said to be lining up stars to enter the villa for the upcoming series, reportedly including a PrettyLittleThing model.

When the winter series kicks off on January 16, Indiyah and Sam will be giving their unfiltered thoughts on the latest couplings, dumpings and bombshell antics.

Indiyah and Sam will interview past Islanders from all across the show’s nine series on the popular podcast, Love Island: The Morning After, which is produced by Listen.

The duo will also join new host Maya Jama live in London every Sunday night as regular panellists on Love Island: Aftersun.

They will dive into the latest gossip from the sun-soaked South African villa, chat to the Islanders and their families, share unseen clips from the show and chat to celebrity fans.

The pair revealed the exciting news in a promotional video shared to both of their Instagram accounts, with Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson saying he was ticking it off his bucket list.

Sam, who is dating former Love Island star Zara McDermott, shared: ‘We are your new Morning After podcast hosts,’ while Indiyah added: ‘And we’ll be joining Maya on Aftersun every week.’

The pair then competed in a Love Island superfan quiz to check they were ‘up for the challenge’ as the brand new podcast hosts and regular Aftersun panellists.

Indiyah, who reached the 2022 Love Island final with her boyfriend Dami Hope, got the first question right, when she finished her co-star Davide Sanclimenti’s iconic quote to Ekin-Su Culculoglu.

During the 2022 summer series, the Italian stallion raged at Ekin-Su: ‘You’re a liar, actress, go the f**k out!’

But it was superfan Sam who secured the next point, after correctly identifying Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham as the 2018 series winners.

Indiyah then correctly named Iain Stirling as the ITV dating show’s narrator, while Sam then matched the quote ‘I’m loyal’ to former Islander Georgia Steel.

However, Sam then put a halt to their winning streak as he wrongly said ‘Chris Hughes’ when asked to finish the quote ‘Do you want me to rap anyone?’.

Though he identified the speaker, Indiyah then jumped in to finish the iconic quote, saying: ‘Lighten the mood a little bit.’

Sam then scored another point after correctly guessing that Molly-Mae Hague is the former Islander with the most Instagram followers – with the pair then drawing with three points each.

But it was Indiyah who was crowned as the ultimate superfan as she was awarded the final point by naming Molly-Mae’s teddy, Ellie Belly.

Finishing the quiz, Sam said: ‘Initiation complete! I guess you could say we’re now part of the Love Island family.’

‘Well, I always was,’ Indiyah added as the promotional video came to a close.

In a caption alongside the clip, Indiyah admitted she was ‘super excited’ about her new role as podcast co-host, saying she was ‘ready for all the drama’.

She penned: ‘WHAT A WAY TO START THE YEAR!!! Super excited to announce that I’m the newest Love Island Podcast host with the amazing @samthompsonuk not only that but an Aftersun panellist alongside @mayajama and Sam, honestly such a pinch me moment to be back on your screens again!!! Ready for the ride and all the drama.’

Meanwhile, Sam – who is known for sharing his candid thoughts on the ITV dating show to Instagram – added: ‘Today… a young, Love Island super fans dreams all came true. You’re looking at the HOSTS of the OFFICIAL LOVE ISLAND PODCAST BABY!!!

‘Not only that, but I will be a regular feature on Aftersun alongside @mayajama and the absolute legend that is @IndiyahHP! I’ve never been so excited in my life!!!!!!!

‘Bring on the tears, the tantrums, and the drama… I’m ready for it baby!!!

‘Most importantly, I am so grateful to the Love Island team for this incredible opportunity.

‘I watched this show for years from my sofa with a magnum every night, and I never imagined I would actually be a part of the Love Island family. This is going to be one hell of a ride!!’

Indiyah also gushed over her new role in a statement, saying: ‘Not me teaming up with Sam on the Love Island podcast and getting to be a regular panellist on Aftersun.

‘I genuinely can’t explain how excited I am!! I can’t wait to speak to the Islanders and get all the cheeky goss from their friends and families. It’s gonna be an insane series, I can’t wait!!’

While Sam added: ‘It feels like I’m with my family and we’re all in it together and I really like it. We’re all massive fans of the show and it’s really, really nice.’

Sam is dating former Love Island star Zara McDermott and the Made In Chelsea star quizzed his girlfriend on her time in the villa with her ex-boyfriend Adam Collard when he returned to the show as a bombshell last summer.

Mike Spencer, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment, said: ‘I can’t wait to hear what Indiyah and Sam will bring to both the podcast this year and Aftersun, alongside our fantastic new host Maya Jama.

‘Sam and Indiyah have passion for the show, natural chemistry and all the chat so you can guarantee to be entertained every day!’
