Joel Creasey claims he was almost ‘ARRESTED’ by security when he tried to leave a morning tea hosted by Meghan Markle: ‘I don’t care about her that much’

Joel Creasey has recalled the moment he was almost ‘arrested’ when he tried to leave a royal event hosted by Meghan Markle.

The comedian, 32, hilariously recounted the experience while appearing on Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa on Monday.

Joel said he attended a morning tea a few years ago that was hosted by the Duchess, 41, when he got ‘bored’ waiting for her after she was five hours late to the event.

‘So she was still a member of the royal family at the time. And I went to a morning tea to meet her for youth leaders aged under 30. And I just snuck in,’ he explained.

‘I think the invite was for Josh Thomas and I took it. Went along and she was five hours late.’

Joel said security then threatened to arrest him if he tried to leave the event.

‘She’s done a Madonna. I said, ”Can I leave?” I don’t care about her that much. And Security said, ”no, you can’t leave we’ll arrest you”. And I’m like, ”wow.” Turns out it’s easier to leave the royal family than it is one of their events,’ he said.

‘So we didn’t really kick it off. But you know, material.’
