Previously, the happy couple had been longtime friends who had bonded over having both lost parents.
In 2017, her father, John Woods, passed away from cancer. Towns’ mother, Jacqueline Cruz-Towns, died in 2020 after battling COVID-19.
Following years of close friendship, the pair took their relationship to the next level after leaning on each other during their times of grief.
‘Me and Jordyn met years ago knowing common people and just became friends,’ Towns recalled on Woods’ Instagram series Regular-ish in 2021. ‘And ever since then, our relationship grew where we became more than friends.’
‘I’m not saying in that way, but just best friends,’ he continued. ‘And then we started having a deeper relationship.
