Beloved Mexican entertainer Julián Figueroa has died at the age of 27, according to Mexico‘s National Association of Performers.
The organization said in a statement Sunday translated to English from Spanish, ‘The National Association of Performers communicates the death of member Julián Figueroa.’
The statement continued: ‘Actor and singer, has launched various albums like Julián Figueroa y su banda.’ To his family and friends, our sincerest condolences.’
Figueroa died in Mexico City on Sunday, People confirmed, adding that his most recent projects had been a solo album in the works and a role on the telenovela Mi camino es amarte.
His parents were both in show business, as his late father, singer Joan Sebastian, died in 2015; while his mother is actress Maribel Guardia.

Guardia on Monday took to Instagram with a post about her son’s tragic passing.
She said in a post translated from Spanish to English, ‘It saddens me to announce the passing of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who has unfortunately preceded us in parting from this level.’
Guardia said she was at a theater at the time her child was found in his home unconscious.
‘They called 911 and when the ambulance and police arrived, they found him already lifeless, with no traces of violence,’ Guardia said. ‘The medical report indicates that he died of an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.’
Guardia requested privacy for the family, and said that funeral proceedings will be private.
Among the popular songs in Figueroa’s catalog include Volaré and Cómo Olvidar.
Figueroa, who was set to turn 28-years-old May 5, is one of eight sons of the late singer Sebastian.
His brothers Trigo Figueroa and Juan Sebastián were murdered in 2006 and 2010, respectively.
