Lana and Ron addressed feud rumours on Sunday night as they appeared on Love Island: The Reunion.

It was reported that the pair had a ‘furious row’ on the plane journey home from South Africa.

The couple, both 25, who finished the competition second behind Kai Fagan and Shanam Harrinanan, were said to have has such a quarrel that members of Love Island’s production crew had to intervene during the flight.

But squashing the rumours, Ron admitted he merely had ‘too many bevvies’ on the flight home.

Host Maya Jama brought up the sensitive topic on the ITV special, saying: ‘I feel like we should address this because the press have been saying you guys had a fight on the plane, and we know that the media lies sometimes – but what actually happened?

Ron then said: ‘Well, I had a few too many bevvies. And to be fair Lana just looked after me.’

‘I was caring for him – not arguing with him’, Lana replied.

Ron continued: ‘I mean, we got back and we were both going to different places, she was going back home. So we got put into different cabs and it looked bad’.

‘Yes, I think it looked worse than it was’, Lana agreed.

Ron then joked: ‘Not going to lie – I had a great flight. We just creased about it.’

According to The Sun After touching down in the UK the couple refused to film their homecoming, until producers stepped in once again.

They then left the Heathrow airport separately rather than spending a romantic night together.

An onlooker told the publication: ‘Lana and Ron had a furious argument on the plane home – production crew had to step in and calm it down’.

‘They were so fuming they refused to film the ‘meeting the family’ part of the reunion show at Heathrow until producers stepped in again’.

‘They were due to stay overnight in London together but after the fight they went back to their family homes separately to cool down.’

Continuing her line of questioning, Maya then asked: ‘Lana has Ron been different on the outside, just because I remember he said he might be?’

Lana answered: ‘No he’s been exactly the same. We’ve had such a good time on the outside like I feel like we’ve just been buzzing and we’ve spent time with his family and spent time with my family.’

Ron interjected: ‘It’s been nice. It’s been needed.’

Continuing, Maya said: ‘You guys have always had a strong connection from day one. Were you a little bit surprised when the public vote you as least sexually compatible?

‘Not at all’, Ron said.

He continued: ‘We’re not that couple that do the whole PDA thing. It was for our mums and dads – we know they’re watching at home.’

Lana added: ‘We said from the get go that we were not the type to kind of to do anything on telly. We’re a bit PG’.

‘We were saving it for the outside’, Ron then quipped.

Maya then questioned Ron on his drama with Rosie.

The pair came to a head after a conversation which saw him offer relationship advice to the islander on her relationship with Casey.

The next day, Rosie told Casey that Ron said he prioritises the boys over her and said they wouldn’t work on the outside.

Ron insisted this wasn’t the case.

Playing the clip of their conversation back, Maya then asked Ron about his opinion on the matter.

She said: ‘Ron we gotta talk about you being accused of being a game player. Why do you think that happened?’

He said: ‘I think in there, things get lost in translation, and it’s very intense, people interpret in different ways.

Furious: It comes after fellow couple Ron & Lana reportedly had a 'furious row' on the plane journey home from South Africa on Thursday

Gutted: They then left the Heathrow airport separately rather than spending a romantic night together

‘I mean, we spoke about it, you know. The support that I’ve had outside and the way it’s been put across is that I mean, I’ve watched it back and it’s like when you know me, I’m the most genuine person, I just would never do that.

‘I would never play with someones feelings. So yeah it is what it is innit.’

Turning over the questions, Maya then asked: ‘All right. Rosie do you still stand by what you said?’

She replied: ‘Yeah, I do. I mean, I think this is the last time it needs to be addressed.

‘I do feel like it was a misunderstanding. I think it was blown out of proportion.

‘People need to remember it’s a TV show and you only get shown a snippet. Me and Ron literally squashed it that day and were cool like, it’s absolutely fine.

‘It’s been made into a big deal when it wasn’t and I feel like that’s the last we need to speak about it.’

Maya then said: ‘Okay, so let’s talk positive. What are you up to now?’

Lana replied: ‘We’ve got a lot of plans. I think we’re just at the start of our journey together.

‘But we’ve got holidays, time with each other’s family, getting to know people even more because we haven’t – we’ve only had a day with each other.’

Ron continued: ‘Honestly, it’s been absolutely nuts. And we’ve just got so much to experience.’
