Love Is Blind fans were left furious after Micah Lussier’s best friend Shelby admitted she was ‘relieved’ when Paul left her pal at the altar.
The bombshell weddings episode finally aired on Friday and revealed which couples said ‘I do’ and which said ‘I don’t’, with Micah and Paul going their separate ways.
Micah had shocked the congregation by asking Paul to reveal his answer first, before her partner left her heartbroken when he said he couldn’t marry her.
As Micah fled the wedding in tears, her best friend Shelby – who has voiced her disapproval for Paul – was seen smiling and said she was ‘relieved’ by the turn of events.
During the ceremony, she first admitted she wished she was ‘way drunker’ before she was seen laughing with her friends as Micah was seen sobbing.

When asked how she felt, Shelby said: ‘Relieved, honestly. That’s how I wanted it to go.’
However, viewers were quick to take to Twitter to criticise her behaviour as they claimed it was ‘horrible’ for her to be happy rather than supporting Micah.
One fan wrote: ‘Shelby is a horrible friend wtf? To be sat there laughing????’
Another said: ‘This is very dramatic from Micah and her ‘friend’ Shelby laughing???’
A third tweeted: ‘The real villain of this season is mf Shelby,’ while a fourth commented: ‘I want Paul and Micah to get married to spite Shelby.’
And a fourth penned: ‘The way Shelby had me shooked like girlie was smirking and looking all happy after her ‘BEST FRIEND’ got dumped and while her bestie was leaving and sobbing miss Shelby was looking overjoyed.’
It was not the first time Shelby had voiced her disapproval of Shelby and Paul’s relationship, previously telling Micah it ‘wasn’t it’ during a boozy night out.
She told Micah: ‘I think you deserve better. You’re meant to have the best wedding of your life. You’re meant to have all this, and this isn’t it.’
During the weddings episode, the ceremony took a very tense turn when Micah asked Paul to reveal his answer first, as she appeared uncertain about his answer.

Despite declaring his love for the blonde beauty, he said: ‘I don’t think that we can choose each other right now. I think that we’re not there.’
The bride admitted she predicted the heartbreaking outcome and never felt ‘safe’ in the relationship – before dramatically running up aisle in tears.
Going their separate ways Paul explained in an interview that he didn’t feel as though his love was ‘reciprocated’.
Micah and Paul did not have a smooth-sailing journey on the show, with Micah first getting to know both Paul and Kwame in the pods.
Micah then decided to cut off Kwame completely while Paul ended his connection with Amber and the pair eventually got engaged before meeting in the real world.
During their holiday to Mexico, Micah then had a flirty chat with former flame Kwame around the pool and they looked set to be heading towards a love triangle, but the pair quickly insisted there was nothing romantic between them.
When season four aired, Micah told Us Weekly: ‘When I chose Paul, I chose Paul all the way and I never regretted that or have looked back on it.’
The pair then moved in together and came into conflict over where they would live, Paul’s wardrobe and their closet space, but overcame the obstacles to keep planning their wedding.
Micah then had a very successful meeting with Paul’s mother, but Paul wasn’t so successful when spending time with his fiancée’s friends – with Shelby not warming to him and insisting their romance ‘wasn’t it’.
Although it is not known whether they are still together, they both still follow each other on Instagram.
However, they do not appear to have liked each other’s recent posts and Paul also has a cooking Instagram page, which Micah does not seem to follow.
Paul and Micah will return to screens for Love Is Blind: The Live Reunion and reflect on their journey on the show, as well as revealing what happened after the bombshell wedding.

The video showed Paul making a cioppino, but fans were convinced they heard Micah in the background, hinting they could still be together.
Apparently hearing a woman’s voice in the background, fans took to the comments section to voice their theories, with one writing: ‘100% Micah’s voice in the background.’
Another said, ‘You can definitely hear Micah,’ while a third asked: ‘Is that Micah in the background?’
Micah also re-shared a post to her Instagram Stories where a fan said that Paul’s recent haircut was ‘all the proof I need that him and Micah are still together’, with Micah responding with a series of laughing faces.
The pair had candid discussions about where they were going to live, with Micah splitting her time between Seattle and Scottsdale, where she owned an apartment, while Paul lived in Seattle.
Micah’s Instagram bio has her location pinned as Seattle, with no mention of Scottsdale, while Paul’s TikTok account also says he lives in Seattle, potentially teasing at at their current situation.
However, it remains to be seen whether the fan speculation was right and the couple managed to rekindle things after the wedding twist, or whether they went their separate ways.
In a first for the show, the reunion episode will be broadcast live on Netflix, with viewers able to tune in and watch the action as it happens.
In previous years, the reunion episode has been prerecorded before being aired on Netflix after the series finale, and is usually followed by more catch-up episodes called After The Altar.

The live reunion will only be the second ever show Netflix has aired live, after Chris Rock’s stand-up comedy special Selective Outrage was shown live on the streaming platform on March 4.
Love Is Blind: The Live Reunion will be available to watch on Netflix on Sunday in the United States, airing at 8pm Eastern Time (ET) or at 5pm Pacific Time (PT).
Meanwhile, UK viewers eager to watch the reunion live will be able to do so at 1am British Summer Time on Monday.
For any eager fans not able to watch live, the reunion episode will also be available to watch on the streaming platform after it has been broadcast.
Love Is Blind’s live reunion airs Monday April 17 on Netflix.
