Oprah Winfrey showed off a whopping 2lb truffle she has been gifted by the luxury Italian brand Sabatino Tartufi.

The company sells their 8oz truffle online for $1899.99, but the one Oprah received – which is four times its size – appears to be unique at the moment.

‘I have to tell you, somebody sent me this gift today and it just blew me away,’ Oprah, 68, gushed. ‘It’s the largest truffle found this year in Umbria.’

She unveiled a bit of her personal history with the Sabatino family, which has been running their company for over a century.

‘I’d gone truffle hunting with them, you know, almost a decade ago and so they know I love truffles and I always get my truffles from them,’ she spilled.

‘And they sent me this truffle as a gift! And we just weighed it and the truffle is…,’ she said, turning to a woman who appeared to be her chef and said: ‘Two pounds.’

‘TWO POUNDS!’ Oprah exclaimed, instantly bringing back memories of her announcement style on TV. ‘It’s a two-pound truffle, white truffle!’ 

She asked her chef: ‘What are we gonna do with it?’ and received a mouthwatering list of the items the truffle could be used to augment.

Oprah was sent into paroxysms of delight at the mention of ‘truffle scalloped potatoes’ as well as ‘mac and cheese, scrambled eggs, popcorn, risotto.’

The talk-show icon added that even after all the dishes are prepared ‘we’re still gonna have truffle left.’

Oprah explained: ‘I think what I’m gonna do is we can like take hunks of it and give it to my friends and neighbors who like truffle.’

She quipped: ‘Only people who love truffle will be able to share in the truffle. And then we’ll still have truffle! If you need truffle, call me.’
