Paul Gascoigne turned the air blue while he discussed his Scared Of The Dark co-star Chris Eubank on Monday’s episode of This Morning,

The embattled former footballer was reflecting on his time on the controversial new Channel 5 reality show, during which he shockingly stated that the former boxer was ‘born with a d**k up his backside’.

His comments about his co-star came after Sunday night’s opening episode saw Chris take aim at Paul for regaling a crass anecdote about Margaret Thatcher.

The former England player had recounted an X-rated tale about ‘relieving’ himself in the toilet after meeting the late Margaret Thatcher at 10 Downing Street in 1990.

And while all the other contestants burst into fits of giggles, an enraged Chris berated Paul before going wild in a confessional.

Chatting to Rochelle Humes and Phillip Schofield, aged 34 and 62 respectively, the former sportsman, 55, spoke about the show, which has sparked safety concerns, and shed light on his fellow contestants.

Weighing in on his time with stars Scarlett Moffatt, Chris MacCausland, Donna Preston, Nicola Adams, Max George, Chloe Burrows and Chris Eubank, Gazza went in hard on his co-stars – including Eubank.

He recalled when he saw Eubank he uttered: ‘Oh god, not him’, however he was full of praise for blind comedian Chris MacCausland.

The embattled former footballer said of the funnyman: ‘Blind Chris was fantastic, he was walking around like it was normal for him’.

Adding to his humorous time spent with MacCausland, he divulged: ‘There was a bit where I had to go to a booth and he said “Paul just go to the left and he knew exactly where he was. I said “Have you seen this movie” and he went “Gazza I’m blind”‘.

A synopsis from Channel 5 reads: ‘To prove their mettle, each of the celebrities will take on a series of challenges designed to test either their primal fear of total darkness or their ability to function in the pitch black.

‘Those that fail at their challenges will have to take on herculean tasks to save their place on the show. Each celebrity will be motivated to conquer their fears because at the end only one will step out into the light as series winner.

‘Will being in in the dark form trust amongst the group, or will the overwhelming fear of being in the darkness cause them to crumble leaving them begging for the lights to be turned on?’

Paul admitted he was mischievous during the show, saying: ‘I put breadcrumbs in the bed, pulling peoples hair and pretending it wasn’t me, I’m dreading the episode tonight cos they’ll see it was me stealing the boiled eggs and putting them in my dressing gown.’

On Sunday night’s opening episode of the show, Paul appeared to suffer a panic attack as he became overwhelmed two days into living in total darkness alongside other celebrities.

During a confessional he told the camera that he was ‘getting panicky’ before admitting the experience was ‘too much’

Chocking back tears Paul said: ‘I just want to enjoy the experience and believe me this is a f****** experience, I feel like crying’.

Overcome with emotional he continued: ‘I’m just finding it a little too much, this is going to be tough.’

During their beef over the Thatcher anecdote, Gazza had teased a ‘sexy story’ before admitting, ‘I may get myself into trouble here but when I went to 10 Downing Street, I put my arm around Maggie Thatcher.

‘Oh, god almighty, I felt myself getting hard and I thought, “Quick, I better just release this.” So I just quickly went to the toilet and just whacked one out.’ Horny bit just come on out of us and I wasn’t going to walk with a boner on so I just quickly…’

Visibly unimpressed, Chris responded, ‘It’s so unfortunate that it’s probably true. OK, so let’s lift up the the octave or the class. Let’s lift it up. What you’ve done there, Paul, is that’s your pub talk, man. That’s not for here.’

Realising the room had fallen silent, he added, ‘But then maybe I’m killing the party. Yeah, so do what you want. I’m very tired. I need to sleep.’

In a piece-to-camera, Chris later said: ‘I don’t know Gazza. And I don’t want to know Gazza. Because that’s drinking. That’s all that muck. He’s brazen…

‘He’ll drink you underneath the table. He is a legend that is not legendary. What’s legendary is Paul. Paul and what he did. He was a superstar in football. I want to know Paul. He’s a beautiful man.’

Britain’s first woman PM had invited the troubled star and the England squad to Downing Street after their performance at that summer’s World Cup in Italy where they lost on penalties to West Germany in the semi-final.
