Richard Gere, 73, recovering after being hospitalized for pneumonia during family’s trip to Mexico to celebrate wife’s 40th birthday
Richard Gere, 73, was reportedly hospitalized with pneumonia this week during his family trip to Mexico to celebrate his wife Alejandra Silva’s 40th birthday.
TMZ reports that the actor was diagnosed with the lung infection after checking himself into a hospital near their vacation home in Nuevo Vallarta.
Gere was said to have been suffering from a cough prior to the trip, which eventually got so bad that he felt the need to seek medical attention.
The Officer And A Gentleman star was treated with antibiotics during an overnight stay.
Gere is now out of hospital and, according to the outlet’s sources, on the mend.
