Richard Roxburgh and Rebecca Gibney lead the cast of Stan Original Series Prosper

Rebecca Gibney (Back to the Rafters) and Richard Roxburgh (Elvis) are set to feature in the new drama Prosper from streaming platform Stan.

The veteran actors play a married couple, the Quinns, who are the driving force behind a Sydney-based evangelical megachurch.

As the Quinns’ church prepares to make a lucrative jump into the U.S. market, a dark secret threatens to tear their family apart from within.

Filming has already commenced in Sydney, with the cast also including Ewan Leslie (Bali 2002) and Ming-Zhu Hii (Peter Rabbit).

The story centres on Cal Quinn (Roxburgh) and his wife Abi (Gibney), who are the founders of U Star, the fastest growing church in the world.

Hugely wealthy and powerful, the couple is set to acquire an even greater influence as they launch U Star in America.

The Quinns struggle to manage their rebellious youngest son Jed (Jacob Collins-Levy) and keep a lid on a shameful family secret.

Hayley McCarthy (The Originals) plays the Quinns’ daughter, a talented singer-songwriter for the church.

Newcomer Alexander D’Souza stars as the family’s adopted son, while Ewan Leslie plays the Quinns’ dutiful eldest.

Other featured cast members include Jacek Koman (Children of Men), Andrea Solonge (Privileged), Brigid Zengeni (Totally Completely Fine) and Alex FitzAlan (Slender Man).

Prosper is made by Sydney-based producers Lingo Pictures, which is part of ITV Studios, and financed with the support of Screen Australia.

The series was created by Matt Cameron (Jack Irish) and Jason Stephens (Lambs of God).

The writing team includes talent from hit shows such as Broadchurch, Please Like Me and Stateless.
